2009 Diamond Award for Organizational Leadership

Quandrant Homes
Bellevue

Despite the downturn in the economy, Quadrant Homes, located in Bellevue, continues to provide incentives to employees who use alternatives to driving alone to work. Every employee is entitled to a free FlexPass. All employees who commute in any mode except driving alone, are eligible for up to $100 month in incentives to keep sharing the ride to work. Other program elements include an excellent telework program and flexible work schedule for employees along with free covered bike racks and preferential parking for vanpools and carpools. Quadrant participates in the "Green Bike Project" in King County with several employees riding bikes to work. Quadrant Homes is richly deserving of a Diamond Award for their continued efforts and outstanding management support to reduce emissions for the region.

*Some definitions: An "ETC" is the staff-level employee transportation coordinator responsible for the daily administration of the transportation program. "SOV" stands for single-occupant vehicle, and "CTR" for commute trip reduction.
